Search the Catalog for Music CDs
Start an advanced search by going to the catalog and clicking
on the Go to Advanced Search link.
Type in music in the first search box and set the format to CD using the format drop-down (below the search boxes), then press the submit button. This will display a list of music CDs in the catalog.
An example is shown below.

The library uses the following music classification categories:
Christian - Contemporary popular, rock, or folk music with a Christian theme or message.
Classical - Instrumental and choral music by traditional and contemporary composers.
Country - Contemporary country, western, country/western music.
Blues - Contemporary rhythm and blues music.
Espanol - Vocal music sung in Espanol or instrumental music of Hispanic origin (includes Mariachi, salsa, etc.).
Ethnic - Popular and traditional music from an ethnic group other than Hispanic (American Indian, Hawaiian, Cajun, African, traditional reggae, etc.).
FolkMusic - Folk songs and ballads from North America.
Gospel - Traditional gospel and religious music.
Holiday - Vocal or instrumental music with seasonal holiday themes.
Jazz - Instrumental and vocal music with jazz beat; includes Dixieland, contemporary jazz.
NewAge - Usually instrumental, meditative music. May contain natural sounds, often done on synthesizers.
Opera
Popular - Instrumental or vocal music in English with instrumental accompaniment (i.e. Big Band, easy listening, barbershop, march music, pop music).
Rock - Includes rock, heavy metal, folk rock, soul and rap, rock, reggae.
Songs - Children’s songs, vocal or instrumental (except holiday).
SoundEffects - Non-musical sounds occurring in everyday life; natural and man-made sounds.
Soundtrack - Music from movies, Broadway Theater and television shows.
Once you reach the search results, check the box that says Limit search
to available items to display only the available items.
To narrow your search, you may select branch location or age level,
then click the submit button.
If you wish to save or print items after completing your search, the
Save Titles option is available.
